We believe the future of humanity depends upon people skillfully and consciously loving and caring for each other. The mission of our work is to end interpersonal and relational wounding, which is passed down through families, communities, nations, and our global family. Specifically, our approach focuses on, but is not limited to, creating healthy couples, through:

Over thirty years, using a variety of couples marriage counseling methods.

We've helped couples who are struggling address relationship issues such as sexual intimacy, couples communication, affairs, family and parenting issues, mid-life crises, and the decision whether to stay together.

Healthy couples who want to increase their passion and love also find support working with us on deepening sexual intimacy, learning and practicing problem solving skills, increasing their ability to make and stick with agreements, visioning and planning for retirement, honing their couples communication skills.

We have been helping partners turn themselves into healthy couples, and supporting singles, groups, and couples create satisfying relationships for over thirty years.

During the 1970's, 80's and 90's we were founding members of Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, which eventually became the largest residential yoga and wellness center on the east coast. During our working partnership as friends, and finally as a healthy couple ourselves, we created:

  • A popular weekend couples retreat,
  • Our own brand of couples marriage counseling,
  • A curriculum for pre-marriage counseling, and
  • A 4-day private couples marriage retreat.

Our approach to couples marriage counseling includes family systems training, gestalt therapy, as well as our personal background of yoga, meditation, and spirituality, and recently equine facilitated psychotherapy. We are non-sectarian in our approach, but informed by our spiritual lives, as well as our own personal growth.

Even though we have lots of training, degrees and clinical experience, we are still growing toward being a fully alive healthy couple. Our relationship work is based on our personal experimentation and practice throughout a 35-year friendship, and 27-year marriage.

We promise you a safe, opening and transformative experience in which to learn and practice the relational skills we share with you. We also promise that in our work together we will show up authentically and honestly as real people working on our own relationship.
