We have been
helping couples with their marriage problems, and supporting singles,
groups, and couples create satisfying relationships for over thirty
years.
During the nineteen seventies, eighties and nineties we were
founding members of Kripalu
Center for Yoga and Health, which eventually
became the largest residential yoga and wellness center on the east
coast. During our working partnership as friends, and finally as
married partners, we created a popular weekend couples retreat, our
own brand of couples counseling, a curriculum for pre-marriage
counseling, and a 4-day private marriage counseling retreat.
Our approach to couples therapy includes:
- family systems training,
- gestalt couples therapy, as well as
- our personal background of
yoga, meditation, and spirituality.
We are non-sectarian in our
approach, but informed by our spiritual lives, as well as personal
therapies, and working through our own marriage problems. Even
though we have lots of training, degrees and clinical experience,
we are still a growing couple. Our relationship work is based on
our personal experimentation and practice throughout a 35-year friendship,
and 25-year marriage. We promise you a safe, opening and transformative
experience in which to learn and practice the relational skills we
share with you. We also promise that in our work together we will
show up authentically and honestly as real people working on our
own marriage problems. |
